1 Machine Overview Japan's OKUMA twin-axis lathes are relatively independent on the left and right sides, and have independent X, Z-axis, spindle, turret-type tool holder, cooling system, and automatic protection door. The machine lubrication system, hydraulic system and chip evacuation system are common.
2 Control mode of the two-axis group The NUM1040T CNC system can control up to two axis groups. Each axis group can control up to four interpolation axes, six servo axes and two spindles. The control of the two-axis group is that there are two relatively independent channels inside the system, each channel has independent PLC and NC information exchange area, M code, T code and PLC variables and flag bits. The system can switch between the common axis group mode and the independent axis group mode. When the system works in the common axis group mode, the two axis groups have the same working mode. When the system works in the independent axis group mode, the two axis groups have different working modes and can be independently operated and controlled. Dual axis group control can be realized by setting corresponding system parameters and programming PLC control program.
3 Two-axis group related system parameters P97—Define the number of axis groups of the CNC system.
P0—Defines the axis on which the CNC is displayed.
P2—Defines the CNC system measurement axis.
P3—Defines the servo control and interpolation axes.
P5—Defines the machine type of the axis group.
P9—Used to associate the axis name with the actual address.
P6—Used to configure the spindle with measurement function and specify the spindle type.

5 User program for the two-axis group Program Description The machining program for the multi-axis group is composed of programs corresponding to each axis group. Each program has a common base number followed by an index number for the specified axis group. The subroutine in the machining program does not require an index number.

The tool number TXX in the T function index number of .1 program can have the same serial number as the tool in other programs, not necessarily the same tool.
Tool correction value All programs share the tool correction table.
Program variable variables L0 to L19, L100 to L999, and L900 to L959 can be used for each axis group.
