The National Energy Administration also announced the first batch of 18 distributed photovoltaic power generation demonstration zones in China, involving 12 provinces and cities. In 2013, the demonstration area reported a total installed capacity of 749 MW, and the planned installed capacity in 2015 totaled 1,823 MW. In October this year, the National Energy Administration will also launch the second batch of national distributed photovoltaic power generation application demonstration zones.
The Energy Bureau's policy has really stimulated the market demand for the photovoltaic industry. Some listed companies will also split the domestic PV market. Xinyi Glass reported the approval of a 100 MW distributed photovoltaic power generation project. It plans to implement an installed capacity of 69 MW in 2013. The rest will be completed by 2015, and more than 80% of the electricity generated will be used by the company.
