The hibernating seedling method of potato vines is to leave the potato vines harvested in autumn to the second year for sweet potato seedlings. The specific practices are as follows:
1. Cut the vine: After harvesting the sweet potato in autumn, choose the frost-free, disease-free and strong potato vine, remove the leaves, keep 1 cm petiole, and cut it in two sections.
2. Forced dormancy: Soak the cut potato vine in a 0.5% Amphetamine solution for two minutes, and remove the moisture from the surface.
3, sieve sand: the ordinary yellow sand is filtered with a sieve to remove large particles of sand and impurities, sprinkle water, the humidity is pinched by sand and then loosened to disperse.
4, sand: first pits on the ground, length and width are not limited, the depth of 1.2 meters (depending on the thickness of the winter frozen soil layer, the storage temperature is 5-10 °C is appropriate). Then, the potato vines are placed in a pit by a layer of vines, and a gap of 1 cm is left between the vines. The thickness of each layer of sand is not less than 3 cm, and the thickness of the upper layer is not less than 15 cm. In the area where the surface is covered with plastic film and the frost is heavy, the film is covered with straw or straw.
In the spring of the next year, when the sweet potato is planted, the potato vines can be taken out. The hibernating seedling method can eliminate the land occupation of seed potato seedlings and the field management during seedling cultivation. After the removal of the potato vines in the sand, a small amount of new roots have been produced. After cutting, the lived fast and the growth is good, which can make the sweet potato unit area The yield is increased by 15-20%.
