LG Chemical (Chongqing) Engineering Plastics Project starts in Changshou Development Zone

On the afternoon of September 25, 20,000 chemistry (Chongqing) Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd. started construction of the 20,000-ton engineering plastics and plastic alloy project in Changshou Economic and Technological Development Zone.

LG Chem is one of the most important pillar industries of the LG Group. Its business scope is mainly in the four major business areas of basic materials, information electronic materials, optical materials and batteries. Since its entry into China in 1995, LG Chem has invested a total of 12.1 billion yuan and has established 11 production corporations in Beijing, Ningbo, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Taiwan and Chongqing. The 20,000-ton engineering plastics project started this time is the first project invested by LG in Chongqing. The total investment of the project is 20.975 million US dollars.

It is reported that LG Chem (Chongqing) engineering plastics project will be completed in June 2016 and will start production in July.
