DEK Solar Announces New Discovery at World Solar Conference

DEK Solar, a supplier of screen printing equipment and processes to the solar cell and fuel cell manufacturing industries, announced at the World Solar Congress its process improvement results through advanced metallization platforms.

Dr. Brian Lau, Solar Energy, Process Support Products and Business Management Director, and Dr. Chen Wei, Chief Technology Officer of DEK Solar, attended the meeting, and Dr. Chen Wei announced at the conference that DEK can join hands with the global leader in efficient photovoltaic solar cell paste. The process improvement tests conducted by the DuPont Microcircuit Materials Division of the manufacturer showed that the amount of silver paste can be reduced by up to 40% and the relative efficiency improved by more than 0.5% (compared with the industry standard one screen printing process). The test results were obtained by printing stencil lines using a stencil and then screen-printing the busbar paste. The participants expressed their interest in the productivity and conversion efficiency of this process.

The industry event gathered 47 industry leaders, most of whom were CEO, CTO, and vice president-level participants representing the entire industry's industry chain. As a gold medal sponsor of the World Solar Conference, DEK is committed to research and development of technological innovations and processes that promote the sustainable development of the solar industry.

As evidence of its strength and market leadership, DEK has recently won the honor of the top ten branded equipment suppliers in 2012 in the voting. "The 2012 PV industry brand enterprise TOP50 (PV Top50 for short)" is organized by one of China's most widely known solar industry media, "Modern Photovoltaic" magazine. The rankings of the five categories were generated after two months of intense votes. Voters come from China's solar industry peers, researchers and government agencies.

Dr. Chen Yu, chief technology officer of DEK Solar, pointed out that “the current demand for sustainable energy solar energy is very large. For our customers and the industry as a whole, cost costs and conversion efficiency are priorities. To solve these problems and explain Our customers are ready for the future market. DEK Solar has used its knowledge and understanding of the solar industry and its long-term technical expertise in screen printing to develop solutions such as superfine grid secondary steel stencils. printing art."

KONE UltraRope

In June 2013 the company launched a new high-rise elevator technology, called 'KONE UltraRope', which enables future elevator travel heights of 1 kilometre. The product is light due to its carbon fibre core and a high-friction coating. Because of these qualities, elevator energy consumption in high-rise buildings can be cut significantly.

KONE EcoDisc motor

The 'KONE EcoDisc motor', used for hoisting, reduces the amount of energy lost as heat. The motor control system and brakes make the elevator ride quiet and the design frees up space.

Elevators

The 'KONE MonoSpace' for low- to mid-rise buildings is the world`s first machine-room-less elevator. The 'KONE EcoSpace' elevator is a machine-room-less traction elevator designed for low-rise buildings from 2 to 15 stories as an energy-efficient alternative to hydraulic elevators, and can fit in an existing hydraulic elevator hoistway. It is produced in a 150 feet per minute (0.76 m/s) speed, 200 feet per minute (1.0 m/s) and 350 feet per minute (1.8 m/s) variants. The 'KONE MiniSpace' elevator with a small machine room is often used in high-rise buildings.
