Distributor, brancher, who is better than who?
A few days ago, I asked a customer about the use of the branch.
The customer believes that the splitter is easier to use than the splitter and has less attenuation than the splitter, so he prefers to use the splitter instead of the splitter.
We believe that the branch port attenuation is particularly large, but the OUT port will be about 1-3 DB smaller than the distributor, which is not worthwhile.
As a result, the customer still insists on using 4 branches.
However, the same four branches, but many types, are determined by the branch attenuation value, such as 410, 412, 414, 416, 418, etc., 4 represents 4 branches, the latter two digits represent the attenuation value of the branch, For example, 410, the representative branch will weaken 10DB. In addition, the larger the branch attenuation value, the smaller the attenuation value of the main port OUT port, for example, 412, the branch attenuation is 12DB, the main channel is attenuated by 4.2DB, and the 416, the branch is attenuated by 16DB, but the main path is only weakened by 2.5. DB.
So, is it better to use the splitter, or is it better to use the splitter?
Briefly summarize a few sentences:
1. In general, the further away from the receiver, the more suitable the distributor is, the closer it is to the access point of the receiver, the more likely it is to use the splitter.
2, must be judged according to the level value of each transmitter channel of the new point location, whether there is a need to use the splitter.
For example, at the new point, the previous channel level value is about 80DB, and the new channel level is 115, even if the level is forced to 95 (because the transmitter can only drop 20DB level), the level difference The value is still very large, it will affect other channel signals. At this time, only the 416 splitter is used to force down 16DB to reach 79DB. At this time, all the channels in front of the main channel output are reduced by 2.5DB. 78DB, the new channel level intensity and the original channel level intensity are balanced, it will not affect the original channel signal.
