Qinghai New Energy Consumption Key Technology Research Makes New Breakthrough

Recently, Yang Libin, a staff member of the Qinghai Provincial Photovoltaic Grid-connected Technology Key Laboratory, carried out the power station-level transformation of the new energy power system collaborative self-regulatory integrated platform at Huaneng Golmud photovoltaic power station. After the transformation is completed, the automation and intelligence level of the new energy power system regulation and operation of the power station will be significantly improved.

This is the practical application of the State Grid Qinghai Electric Power Company's "Key Technology and Application of New Energy Power System Coordinated Self-Regulatory Control" project in new energy stations. At present, this technology has been applied to the Qinghai Electric Power Dispatching and Control Center, and has been industrialized in more than 150 new energy power stations in our province and in many provinces and autonomous regions in Ningxia, Xinjiang, Shanxi and other provinces. The cumulative installed capacity of the power station exceeds 5.4 million kilowatts. In the past three years, it has absorbed about 30 billion kilowatt-hours of new energy power generation, with an added output value of about 350 million yuan.

In 2018, Qinghai ’s new energy generation capacity reached 12.569 billion kWh. The rapid development and large-scale access of new energy have brought new challenges to the operation and control of Qinghai Power Grid. To cope with the challenges, the State Grid Qinghai Electric Power Company, led by Tsinghua University, Qinghai University, Guodian Investment Yellow River Upper Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. and Beijing Kedong Electric Power Control System Co., Ltd., jointly undertaken the implementation of the “new energy power system The key technology and application of collaborative self-regulation control was established and implemented in 2011.

The project revolves around the major strategic needs of the development of the new energy power generation industry, breaking through key technical bottlenecks such as weak controllability, difficulty in scheduling, and new energy station self-discipline control in large-scale new energy power generation in Qinghai, and breaking the efficient consumption of new energy power generation Key technical problems, the development of an integrated platform for new energy power system collaborative self-regulation with independent intellectual property rights has improved the ability of new energy generators to actively support the power grid, and provides a theoretical basis for the leap-forward development of China's new energy power generation industry Technical Support. Recently, the project won the first prize of the 2018 Qinghai Science and Technology Progress Award.
