The concept and type of fluid transfer machinery commonly used in chemical plants

A machine that supplies energy to a fluid is called a fluid transfer machine. The machine that transports the liquid is called a pump, and the machine that transports the gas is called a fan or a compressor.

There are many kinds of fluids to be transported in chemical production, and the operating conditions such as temperature, pressure and flow of fluids are also quite different. In order to meet the requirements of transporting fluids under different conditions, fluid transport machinery of different structures and characteristics is required.

The liquid conveying machines commonly used in chemical plants can be divided into four categories according to their working principles: centrifugal, reciprocating, rotary and fluid dynamic.
