Australia’s Delta Helicopters recently announced the development of the world’s first bio-fueled internal-combustion helicopter. The D2 helicopter's four-cylinder, two-stroke, water-cooled, and turbocharged internal combustion engine consumes 40% less fuel than a gasoline engine and 75% less than a turbine engine.
It is reported that the Delta helicopter company named it D2, D2 can use less fuel but more than ordinary helicopters fly 30% to 40% more mileage. The company estimates that the D2 helicopter's four-cylinder, two-stroke, water-cooled, and turbocharged internal combustion engine consumes 40% less fuel than a gasoline engine and 75% less than a turbine engine at equivalent flight distances.
It is worth noting that if you buy a D2 helicopter, you must assemble it yourself. The company plans to sell the D2 helicopter as a self-made kit to farmers in remote areas because they use it in ordinary agricultural machinery. It is the internal combustion engine. The total price of the machine is nearly 200,000 US dollars. At present, it has not revealed how much the self-made kit costs. By the end of this year, people can purchase the D2 helicopter.
Transmission hardware fittings are components used in the construction and maintenance of transmission lines for electricity or telecommunications. These fittings are designed to connect, support, and secure the different parts of the transmission line, ensuring proper functioning and reliability.
Some common types of transmission hardware fittings include:
Suspension Clamps: Used to hang the conductors from the transmission towers, providing support and preventing sagging.
Dead-end Clamps: Used to terminate the conductors at the ends of the transmission line, providing support and preventing them from slipping.
Splice Sleeves: Used to join two conductors together, ensuring a secure and conductive connection.
Insulators: Used to electrically isolate the conductors from the transmission towers, preventing electrical leakage and ensuring proper insulation.
Guy Wire Fittings: Used to secure and stabilize the transmission towers, preventing them from swaying or collapsing.
Connectors: Used to connect different components of the transmission line, such as conductors, insulators, and fittings, ensuring a secure and reliable connection.
