After six months of practical exploration, China's aerospace science and technology titanium aluminum compound melting pouring technology has made major breakthroughs, reaching the domestic advanced level.

At the beginning of this year, the 159th factory of the Third Institute of Aerospace Science and Industry began to explore the smelting and pouring technology of titanium-aluminum intermetallic compound materials, and determined the optimal process parameters for titanium-aluminum intermetallic compound smelting. The material has good high temperature resistance and a lower density than titanium alloys. It is a new type of material that is suitable for military and civilian applications and has broad market application prospects. According to materials experts of the Beijing Iron and Steel Research Institute, the quality of the product and the weight of the shell have been very stable, reaching the domestic advanced level.
